January 2015 Favorites

Hi Bellas!

There are several products I’ve been loving during the month of January. As per usual, feel free to watch my video where I discuss my January favorites. Watch until the end for silly bloopers!

1- Lorac Mega Pro Palette: This palette launched during the holiday season and it sold out immediately. I was searching everywhere for it and it was sold out everywhere. Fortunately, I found an Instagram account (The Kelshay Shop) that still had it in stock. I was ecstatic! It was definitely more expensive than the original price but it was still worth it.

2-¬†ColourPop Super Shock Eyeshadows in Amaze and Sequin: I am a new ColourPop fan. I couldn’t believe how pigmented and buttery these eyeshadows were. They aren’t a cream form but it feels creamy on the lids. I’ve noticed the best way to apply these eyeshadows are just with my fingertips. “Amaze” is a beautiful rose gold shade and “Sequin” is a darker rose gold/coppery shade. They look beautiful combined together – I actually have “Amaze” on my lids and “Sequin” in my crease in this video. The only negative thing I must say is that they are very shimmery and glittery because they have a metallic finish. I am planning on trying the matte finishes and will let you guys know if they’re just as good!

3-¬†Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick in 1995: This lipstick was created by Jaclyn Hill for her Kylie Jenner inspired make-up tutorial. It definitely looks just like that famous lip color she was sporting last year. This has been my go-to lipstick because it’s such a versatile shade that matches so many eye looks.

4- Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Touch of Spice: I have been waiting for these lipsticks to launch in Bahrain for months (and they still haven’t). My amazing sister got it for me from the US (thanks sis!). It is the best matte lipstick I’ve ever tried because it’s matte yet still creamy and it doesn’t dry my lips.

5- Vera Mona Color Switch Duo: This is such an interesting and useful product for people who like to apply eyeshadow frequently. This revolutionary product has a sponge material that helps clean your brushes temporarily. This is particularly useful for blending brushes because you really need to use a clean blending brush for every eye make-up look. I’m reviewing this product fully on my channel and my blog so stay tuned for that!
