Today I’m sharing my May favorites on my channel and on the blog. Click play to watch the video here:
During the month of May, I’ve been loving…
1- NYX Wonder Stick (universal shade) – This has been a great contour stick! I love that it’s not too warm and is easy to blend. I still don’t think it’s the perfect contour shade, but it’s pretty good and I’ve been using it frequently. I haven’t really used the highlighter shade much but it’s also a pretty shimmery yellow golden shade.
2- NYX Pro Contour and Highlight Palette – I really have been loving this contour palette – in particular the second last contour shade in the bottom right (as shown in the video). I find it to be the perfect cool toned shade for contouring and works well with fair to light skin tones. I also like two of the highlighter shades which I showed in my video as well. It’s just not practical for traveling. On my recent trip to Dubai, I removed the contour shade that I liked and just took it on its own.
3- Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Dark Brown – This is definitely challenging to use and it does take practice to get it right. But it’s really an amazing brow gel. I really like how it makes my brows look and it’s especially great since it’s waterproof and keeps my little brow hairs in place!
4- L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil and Supple Skin Oil – I have been obsessed with these products since I purchased them. I love how soft and supple they make my skin and they smell really good! I was surprised I liked the scent because I generally don’t like the smell of almond oil but these products are an exception. I love applying the skin oil right after a shower and it leaves my skin silky smooth and gives me a nice glow. It also sinks into my skin pretty quickly and doesn’t transfer onto my clothes.
5- Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer – I have been using this concealer nonstop since I purchased it. I have two shades because I accidentally purchased a dark one. I like to mix them together for a natural look or I used the ‘Light Neutral’ one for a highlighting concealer. This concealer rarely creases even if I don’t set it with powder! It only may crease right underneath my lash line (if I don’t set it). Other than that, it stays put for a long time!
