Eid Al-Adha is right around the corner… Don’t have an outfit yet? Don’t fret – I’ve been a City Centre mall rat the last few days just to prepare a guide especially for you! The main stores I checked out are Riva, Zara and River Island. Follow the guide below to find the perfect Eid outfit in time!
1- Search for maxi dresses or skirts, as the flowing material will most probably be lightweight and comfortable.
This summer, I’ve really been inspired by bohemian looks. I spotted this dress at Riva that has the perfect combination of bohemian and romantic embroidery.
This Zara skirt is also boho-inspired and similar if you want a more understated look.
2- Eid is a full day celebration – so aim to wear your most comfortable heels, or opt for wedges instead.
Believe it or not – Marks and Spencer has the most comfortable heels I’ve ever tried. Choose a simple and classic pump in either nude or black – that way you can match it with more outfits after Eid. Last Eid, I wore sky-high YSL heels and my back was killing me the next day. I’d rather wear comfortable heels since I’ll be standing and walking all day!
Still don’t think you can last in heels all day? Opt for a summer wedge or embellished flats.
3- Pair fun printed trousers with a silk blouse or blazer to soften the look.
The Zara outfit below is sophisticated and modest.
4- Since the weather is still hot, you can still experiment with patterns and bold colors.
I love this graphic print dress from Zara. I especially love that it’s long sleeves and long enough to pair with leggings or pants.
5- If your outfit is plain and simple, add a statement necklace for a little bit of glam. Remember less is more!
This River Island jacket already has chunky embellishments so you don’t have to accessorize much!
I love simple blazers and this River Island blazer is long enough to cover your (um assets!). Pair it with a simple top and skinny jeans. A statement necklace would work perfectly here!
I’ve been really into the idea of jumpsuits lately, but it’s really hard for me to pull off because I’m petite and pear-shaped. I fell in love with this jumpsuit at Miss Selfridges. Add a simple pearly necklace, a cover-up such as a blazer, and you’re good to go!
This Topshop jumpsuit is so sultry and I love the plunging bandeau part.
This Riva jacket is very 60s inspired which I noticed was a huge trend on the runway.
I hope this guide helps you find your perfect Eid outfit! Honestly, I still haven’t picked out my outfit but I have a few options to choose from!
An early Eid Mubarak to you all and I hope you have an amazing time with your families and friends!
